Me-andering
After 20 years working in the advertising industry 2013 marked a year of change for me. I’ve never been one for following social norms, so I’ve taken a different tack. Call me what you will – writer, pilgram, guide. I am creating a simpler life, an absence of complication, with more time to roam, wander and explore.
My focus is the sacred, the spiritual side of things that many of us have forgotten. Without the sacred we are not whole. The sacred is not about religion or old school dogma. The sacred is simple. Its about life, being our authentic self, nature, connection, community.
On this site you will find information on the spiritual – wise teachers and retreat centers I have visited. Pictures and travel stories from all round the world. You will also find books that I find inspiring and useful articles on the mind, mindfulness and how life can be better.
Welcome and enjoy!
Sounds like you’ve found the dream. But how is it possible to keep eating? Did you simply save up and plan for years in anticipation?
Thanks,
Daniel
Hi Daniel,
Nice to hear from you. Yep, life is good right now! Good question – how am I doing this? I decided to stop saving up for my retirement and live in the now. So, I’ve sold my house and am spending some of my savings.
However, I must admit, I have spent very little so far. Traveling around Asia is very cheap. You can comfortably live on around $40 a day – food and accommodation.
It’s great to be living again, and not to be trapped in the drudgery of 9-5 (or 7-7 for some of us).

Ah. Well (strangers though we are), I’m happy for you. I would love to drink that total freedom as well.
Daniel
Thanks Daniel! Cheers to that!
